Spiders Aren’t Spooky if you celebrate with Miss Spider’s Tea Party. In October, we use my spider bitroom to explore both fiction and nonfiction titles about spiders. We culminate our spider reading with a tea party just like Miss Spider! Parents helped us by donating treats and we created mini-donut spiders (edible eyeballs are a hit).
I’ve updated my previous polar bear room with new books and craft options. We read Polar Bear Night and created a cozy cave to read with flashlights to celebrate! Pajama Day is also a nice addition while we read about polar bears! One of the favorite maker activities from the room below was painting polar bears with forks.
It’s almost Penguin Awareness Day (1.20) so we celebrated with a read aloud or two and a digital library. We also made some penguins using resources I added in the bitroom below. Message me via thebiggreenbookshelf@gmail.com for a google copy you can edit or use the published link!
